We offer unique flexibility
Every 15 minutes is important because your time is valuable which is why we offer flexible Early Education and Care, so you only pay for the time you need.
With long opening hours, from 6am-8pm including bank holidays, it means we are here when you need us. There’s also free settling-in sessions and we offer you a variety of funding options.
In addition, to assist you in those testing times, emergency childcare is also available at short notice. For further information, contact us.

Tops have an outstanding reputation in delivering the best quality Early Education and Care across the South, operating nurseries and play clubs across Dorset, Hampshire, Devon, Somerset and Wiltshire.
Tops are fortunate enough to have a sister company, Aspire Training Team, that provides in house training which is delivered across the Tops family. We also have a small team exclusive to Tops, who deliver training directly to colleagues to support them in their work. Our colleagues have access to a high level of training and support, up to 33 days of paid training per year as well as support for unpaid training and experiences too.
So, you can be certain that our Tops staff are provided with world class training to ensure the very best Education and Care is available for your child.
Care for the planet
As an environmentally conscious business, Tops Day Nurseries are always looking for ways to care for the planet in everything we do.
All nurseries are rigorously reviewed to ensure the carbon footprint is minimised, as well as having integrated learning sessions for children on the subject of caring for the environment, growing their own food and being waste conscious. We have introduced reusable nappies, we make our own wet wipes and use real, natural resources throughout our nurseries. Our efforts to be sustainable as enabled us to become B Corp certified and to win a Queen’s Award for Enterprise in Sustainable Development for providing inspiration and genuinely driving change to the Early Years sector.
Promoting healthy living
Research confirms that healthy eating habits in the years before school are very important because they influence growth, development and academic achievement in later life.
No added sugar menus have been designed to ensure your children have a fully balanced diet throughout the day, including a variety of original meals, with one fully vegetarian day per week.
Fun-filled activities
In addition to the flexible childcare provided, Tops nurseries offer a range of extra-curricular activities for you and your children.
From exploring nature in Tops Forest School, learning to cook and bake at Tops Cooking School to sports clubs such as Football Fun and Rugby Rangers, together with core skills including tooth brushing and potty training, there’s so much for your child to learn and enjoy.

Both my children have gone to Tops and loved every second. One of my sons has complex needs and requires a lot more help. They go above and beyond. The only nursery I'd ever trust. Incredible with both kids and parents. I have recommended it to many people. The staff are so lovely and caring. Never in 6 years of using this nursery have I had a bad experience. Fantastic nursery!
I can't recommend Tops enough - the staff are excellent. Great communication between staff and parents. My son loves going here and is always happy to attend. He has made a lovely bunch of friends and I know with the help and support from the staff, he will flourish and continue to be an independent, hardworking little boy. My daughter absolutely loves Tops and so do I. She's been attending since she was 8 months old and now, she's almost 3. We had the pleasure to spend time with most of the staff and they have all been wonderful. She loves going to nursery and especially enjoys Tops Forest School. Her development has been amazing, I cannot recommend Tops enough. Thank you all for the amazing work you do.
Over the last few months, I have noticed a massive difference in my child's development and this is down to the nursery. I love all the extracurricular activities that my child gets to take part in such as cooking school, forest school and yoga.
